The fine print:

We use imported Kalamata olives, farm-fresh eggs, fresh fruit, dried fruit and, when appropriate, individually quick frozen fruit. These are natural products and, as such, may occasionally contain a seed, shell, stem, pit or partial pit. We use reasonable care and caution in handling these products, but we cannot guarantee that you will not occasionally encounter a seed, shell, stem, pit or partial pit in a baked good.

We process all our products on common equipment that comes in contact with a number of allergens, including flour, eggs, milk, soy, tree nuts and peanuts.

Some of the dried fruit we use are treated with sulfites. We soak and rinse this fruit before using in our baked goods, but some residue may remain.

Gift certificates are available in any amount.

Restaurants/Stores

We sell to a limited number of restaurants and stores that share our philosophy and want to partner with us.

If you are considering this kind of relationship with us, we invite you first to make an appointment to come in, meet us, try our product and see our bakery. Then we would be happy to discuss arrangements.

We routinely provide consultation, product development and testing, and menu development assistance as part of our partnership arrangements.

Because we do not use commodity ingredients and we do not have economies of scale, we do not offer wholesale prices. We source locally and organically, and we make everything from scratch, by hand, the old-fashioned way. However, most of the time our prices are competitive with others who do custom baking. We do offer a discount for large standing orders.

Because we believe that everyone -- no exceptions -- has the right to good, clean, fair food, we reserve the right to not sell to any business that doesn't share these ideals. A major part of doing business with us is respecting who we are and what we do, just as we respect our clients and their work.

Delivery is available with minimum orders and within our production schedule, and usually requires a fuel surcharge (delivery fee). Pickup is available at the bakery at no cost.

We do not slice bread, nor do we have a slicer. Because we do not use artificial preservatives or ingredients of any kind, pre-slicing bread shortens the shelf life of our bread from 5-7 days to 1-2 days.

We close for vacation beginning Dec. 24 until early January, and close for one week for maintenance and repairs in late spring/early summer.

We do not ship bread, nor do we offer par-baked or frozen bread.
